| Competitions can be good for getting things done and for generating fresh ideas. The following is shown here as a record of how GVGI developed over the first year or so of its existence. However, as reported in News Item #03, since September 2019 these Idea pages have not been updated for developments and so may now be inconsistent with the rest of the site and GVGI's present position. In March 2018 we started developing some Competitions to help us develop the Facebook pages of various community-support groups (ourselves and 2 others) but within a few weeks we decided to hold back on that for the time being. However, we are still thinking about holding Competitions that would give prizes for the best ideas on: - how community-support groups should use Social Media; and - how to involve people of all generations in the running of community-support groups. *********************** |
When we do start using Competitions, we will probably use Facebook to support most of them. Even though Facebook is no longer the Social Medium of choice for the younger generations, it provides a meeting-place that is an acceptable compromise for most generations.
